Terms
All orders must be paid in full with cash prior to pick-up or shipment
unless a credit account has been established.
To establish credit with us, contact us for a credit application and furnish all requested
trade and bank references completely. Please note that new credit
accounts take several weeks for processing and approval. Credit terms are
strictly Net 30 days from the date of shipment. A finance charge of 2% per month
will be assessed on all past due balances. A $35.00 charge will be debited to
your account for any check returned by your bank for insufficient funds.
Ordering
Our minimum order is $2,000.00 for all shipments, excluding those to the West Coast.
There is also no minimum purchase for local customers
who are able to arrange for the pick-up or delivery of plants themselves.
We suggest ordering early to avoid disappointment, as popular varieties sell out
quickly. We will fulfill your order as close the requested ship date as possible
but may be hampered by growing and shipping conditions beyond our control.
Please review your order with us to ensure that your
freight dollars will be effective - Specimen material and maples need to be
stacked with smaller materials to achieve cost-effective load.
Substitutions
An adjustment of one grade up or down may have to be made to conform to our crop
due to seasonal growing conditions beyond our control.
Allowing us to make a substitution may make the difference in shipping your order
complete without delay. If you cannot accept a substitution, it must be clearly indicated
on your order.
Shipping
All orders are FOB Hillsboro, Oregon and are shipped by refrigerated semi-trucks.
Freight is figured on a per foot basis, with weight and size of product taken
into account. Shipping charges are also based on order size and destination. All
shipments travel at the risk and cost of the purchaser.
Invoicing for freight charges is separate from plant material invoicing. Customers
must pay shipping costs according to the terms of the freight company making the shipment.
Shortages/Damages
We are not responsible for freight damages and shortages. In the event that your
shipment is damaged or a shortage occurs, please note this on the Bill of Lading
and file a claim with the carrier immediately.
Please submit a copy to us - we will be glad to assist you.
Claims
Any unsatisfactory plant material must be reported to us in writing within 5 days of
receiving your order and must be held for our inspection or judgment. We do our
best to ensure that all nursery stock is shipped in excellent condition. If you
feel there is a problem, please call us at time of delivery so we may render all
due assistance. We are willing to work hard and settle any complaints. However, we
do not guarantee plants once they leave our nursery and are accepted in good
condition by a customer. Under no circumstances will European Nursery be liable
for any sum greater than the purchase price of the plants.
